3rd Newbury Scout Group has been running for over 85 years. It was first registered on 21st December 1932 as 41st Newbury based in St Nicolas church hall in Newbury, over the years it has moved home several times, but is now in a new purpose built hall on the outskirts of the town. We are a well-established Group comprising of young people aged 6 – 14.5 years from a wide variety of backgrounds and beliefs. We serve our local community loyally and feel that we help the young people in the area to develop their full potential in a safe and caring environment.
Scouts become self-reliant, responsible and caring individuals who show commitment to themselves and to others. Over the years, 3rd Newbury Scout Group has assisted a large number of young people and adults through the rigours of life by helping them develop their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, whilst having a good time in a safe environment.
